One of the best ways for a community to grow together is by serving together. We hope to get to know you better by serving alongside you.  At Central Christian there are a variety of ways we serve. Throughout the year we will announce different ways we serve both the city of Danbury and Central Christian. However, there are several ways you can start to serve immediately.

  •  Share your talents & gifts! Are you a singer? Musician? Dancer? Artist? As we develop an arts-based ministry at Central, we would love for you to share your talents & gifts with us. Have you met our Artists-in-Residence yet? If not, check this out!
  • Share your pen! Are you a writer? We are always looking for people to share essays, reflections, devotions, poems, etc with our community. We value a variety of perspectives and would love for you to share yours. Check out our Pastor's Pen in the lastest newsletter!
  • Share your time & service! Volunteer to be a part of one of our ministries. Or, help us on Sunday mornings! Making sure Sunday's run smoothly, everyone feels welcome, and the building and rooms are prepared is a full time job. We are always looking for people to greet guests, help set up and tear down our coffee-hour tables, bagging beans & rice for La Comida Food Pantry, help out with the technical side of worship, etc. Volunteering your time and service would be a great help. But even if you can't serve, just showing up is valuable too!
  • Share your thoughts & voice! Attend our Saturday Bible studies (beginning Oct. 7th) or other learning opportunities. We believe learning is a two-way street - it is individual and social. We learn by discerning what God is trying to tell us in the moment but also by listening to how God is working in other people as well. So, we welcome your perspective and hope you will be taught by and will teach the others studying along side you. 
  • Create your own service opportunity! Do you have an idea of a way you would like to serve? If so, let us know. We welcome all ideas and maybe you can take leadership in starting a service opportunity for the church.
